“Residents” are doctors who have graduated medical school with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. They are completing the final years of advanced medical training, that prepares them for independent practice.
Physicians training to become family doctors are required to complete 2 years of residency training. We provide training to two residents each year: a resident in his or her first post-graduate year (PGY-1) and a resident in his or her second post-graduate year (PGY-2).
